Bio
Bright and vibrant colors such as reds, blues and greens can really liven up a room. They are great choices for playrooms and children's rooms. They are similar in their reaction to dirt and wear and in how they need to be cleaned.
They do, however, limit other design choices. A brightly colored carpet will dictate the color scheme of a room and may not last long in terms of what you like about the room it is in. For example, an orange carpet might be great in a small child's playroom, but when it comes time to convert that room to a study, the color is all wrong.

This doesn't mean that you shouldn't choose brightly colored carpet as they can really give a contemporary splash to a room, it just means you should think through what you want from the carpet and from the room it will be in.
